Woman Assaults Victim With Hammer Over ‘Judge Judy’

A Jupiter, Florida, man said a woman struck him on the head with a hammer because she was “upset with Judge Judy.” The 65-year-old victim said he was watching “Judge Judy” on television Sunday morning when Janet Knowles, 62, entered the room and got “upset with Judge Judy.” The victim said Knowles then struck him in the head with a hammer, resulting in a large cut to his head and a wound to his left forearm. The man was treated at the scene by paramedics. Knowles told police she became “mad” at the victim for watching “Judge Judy” and attacked him with a hammer. Police did not say what the relationship between Knowles and the victim is. Knowles was charged with aggravated battery using a deadly weapon.
