A
man wearing only his underwear and socks was charged with drunk driving
after his vehicle hit a police car over the weekend. Chicago police
were notified about a man possibly driving drunk in an alley on the
city’s Northwest Side. The man thought the alley was a street, police
said. Arsenio Garcia, 24, drove the wrong way down a one-way street and
crashed into a cop cruiser that was answering the call. After Saturday’s
crash, Garcia opened the door and fell out of the car, wearing only his
underpants and socks. He was taken to a hospital, where he was treated
for minor scrapes to his face and then charged with several infractions
including misdemeanor DUI, using an alley as a through street, driving
the wrong way on a one-way street, no license, no insurance, failure to
reduce speed and damage to public property. The officer in the squad car
suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from a hospital.
