Lost Cell Phone Found In Landfill
The “Find My iPhone” app works – even in a garbage dump. Iowa resident Allison Peterson figured she had mistakenly dropped her iPhone in a recycling bin. She used the Find My iPhone app to follow a garbage truck online all the way to the dump. Her husband and several workers at the landfill sorted through the trash until they found the missing smartphone. Mark Peterson says he’s scored some brownie points with his wife. He also saved a lot of money by not having to replace the iPhone. Peterson sent a two-page letter thanking the landfill workers for their help.
