Woman Leads Police On Chase In Cherry Picker
Seattle police arrested a woman accused of stealing a work truck with a cherry picker and leading officers on a high-speed chase. Investigators said the woman is believed to have stolen the truck at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday when she discovered it parked with the keys inside and led a King County sheriff’s deputy, a Washington State Patrol trooper and officers from the Seattle and Shoreline police departments on a high-speed chase through the city. The chase came to an end when the woman crashed into a light pole in the parking lot of a Home Depot. The woman, who a deputy said was laughing when she was pulled from the truck, was taken to a hospital to receive treatment for cuts to her face. Police said the suspect is likely to be charged with auto theft, felony eluding, property damage and driving under the influence.
