Lukewarm Polar Bear Plunge
There wasn’t much polar to this year’s Polar Bear Plunge. Nearly 3,700 people took a dip in the Atlantic at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Sunday. The water temperature was 47 degrees, the warmest ever for the event. The plunge raises money for the Special Olympics. Organizers say they brought in more than $650,000 this year. Over the past 21 years, the plunge people say they’ve collected more than $6 million.
